Do you have a passion for helping people, families and carers to lead a better everyday life and the ability to provide care for peoples physical, emotional and social needs? If yes we want to hear from you.

This is a vital role within the Support to Live service where you’ll assist people with a range of activities, and services within their own homes, the community and day centres sites.

You’ll contribute to the development of care and support plans, to maximise independence to develop people’s daily living skills using a strengths-based approach.


About you

To be successful in this role you must have some experience in community work or in social care services in a paid or voluntary capacity.

It’s important that you have the ability to care for people in a way that promotes independence, choice and dignity.

You must have the ability and willingness to gain QCF Level 3 Care.

You’ll need to be able to read, write communicate effectively with a range of people in a variety of settings.

We do ask that you are willing to work shifts, split-shifts, weekend, bank holidays including sleep-in and waking night duties as required.

This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English

Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare all unspent cautions and convictions; and also any adult cautions (simple or conditional), and spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020). A person’s criminal record will not in itself prevent a person from being appointed to this post. Applicants will not be refused posts because of offences which are not relevant to, and do not place them at or make them a risk in, the role for which they are applying. However in the event of the employment being taken up, any failure to disclose such offence, as detailed above, will result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Authority.
