We are looking for an active individual to support a 13-year-old boy, who is autistic, has ADHD and Tourette's. There are 8 hours per week, which can be used flexibly, whilst an education placement is sourced. The main part of this role will be to engage with the young person and build a rapport with a view to support him into the community.
He enjoys playing games on his PlayStation, watching and playing football, and likes horror films. He has a good sense of humour and enjoys conversations about topics of interest.
The young person can become dysregulated at home but has not presented this way whilst being supported in the community.
The ideal applicant will have experience of working with individuals with additional needs, will be patient, calm and who will take the time to get to know this teenage boy. Support available from the wider team around this young person. No personal care is required in this role.
Full UK driving licence and own car with appropriate business insurance is preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
