Job Summary
We are seeking VOLUNTEERS to support Early Years children with special needs, ensuring they receive the care and assistance necessary to thrive.
Our volunteers offer support to a child on a 1-1 basis for one morning or afternoon each week, within an Early Years setting in Bolton, working under the direction of the nursery staff.
As a SNUFS volunteer you would support in an Early Years settings within a Bolton community. We have positions in the following areas - Tonge Moor, Astley Bridge, Bromley Cross, Breightmet, Farnworth, Sharples, Heaton, Deane, Great Lever, Bradshaw, Harwood, Westhoughton, Little Lever, Smithills, Crompton, Kearsley and Halliwell.
Duties /Responsibilities
The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in nurturing and helping to develop the young minds of the child they support. Helping to provide and create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment that promotes learning through play and exploration.
- Engage in educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 2-5 years.
- Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding children's needs.
- Build 1-1 adult child relationship and encourage building on relationships with other children within the setting.

Application Processs
As a SNUFS volunteer you must be able to commit to the following
- Completion of our volunteer application/induction process.
- Provide details of 2 people prepared to provide you with a reference.
- Allow us to complete a DBS check on your behalf.
- Agree to complete an online Safeguarding Course (in your own time).
- Have 3 hours plus travel time available each week (morning or afternoon).
- Commit to volunteering in a pre-school setting every week.
