Were excited to offer a wonderful part-time opportunity as a Support & Information Officer within our Charitable Operations team at our King's Lynn centre. In this role, youll have the chance to use your listening and guidance skills to support people affected by a cancer diagnosis, as well as their loved ones, making a real difference in their lives.
About Big C
Big C is a regional cancer charity committed to supporting anyone affected by cancer across Norfolk and the surrounding counties. We also work closely with key partners in healthcare and research to help improve outcomes for the future.
In the UK today, around 2.5 million people are living with cancer, and 1 in 2 of us will face a diagnosis in our lifetime. At Big C, we are constantly developing new initiatives and projects to ensure that no one misses out on the support they need.

Support providing practical and emotional help for people affected by cancer
Research funding vital cancer research
Equipment supplying specialist equipment to the regions main acute hospital trusts
Education delivering impactful education and awareness programmes
Income Generation raising essential funds to enhance the lives of those living with cancer
People including our service users, their families and friends, as well as our trustees, staff, volunteers, and fundraisers

About the role
Our Support and Information Officer's enhance the wellbeing of Big Cs service users through the provision of cancer information and support; in person, by telephone and/or video calls, facilitating support groups and referring the users to other beneficial services, such as our physical activity program, health walks, counselling and our wealth of holistic complimentary therapy services.
The working hours are 21 hours per week to be worked flexibly over 3 days.
The salary is:
£22,738.25 to £23.205.42 (full time equivalent)£13,642.95 to £13,923.26 (actual)
