I’m currently recruiting on behalf of my client, based in Salford, for a Junior Supply Chain Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage of their career, with a background in administration and an interest in developing their skills and experience within a supply chain and logistics environment. You’ll join a supportive team and gain valuable exposure to a range of supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
While the final scope of the role is being confirmed, typical duties are expected to include:
- Supporting the supply chain team with data entry and generating routine reports.
- Assisting with tracking purchase orders, shipments, and inventory levels.
- Updating internal systems with accurate order and delivery information.
- Liaising with vendors and internal teams to follow up on deliveries and documentation.
- Filing and maintaining supply chain records and documentation.
- Providing general administrative support such as scheduling meetings and preparing documents.
About You
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Any exposure to logistics or supply chain processes would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with data and updating systems accurately.
- Eager to learn and develop within a busy team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
