We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including homes and some care home settings. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised support and assistance.
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer first aid and respond to emergencies as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring clients are comfortable and secure.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to nursing staff or management.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Support clients with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Foster a respectful and trusting relationship with clients while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
Experience
- Previous experience in care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and best practices is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or relevant caregiving qualifications will be considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to individuals of all ages, including children and seniors.
