This is more than just a warehouse role. You’ll be part of a high-performing operations team, ensuring precision stock control, timely movement of goods, and supporting mission-critical workflows that directly influence service delivery.
The Role
As a Stores Operator, you’ll manage the flow of stock through our site – booking in goods, replenishing local stocks, consolidating inventory, preparing kits for production, and maintaining order across the stores area. This is a hands-on, active role suited to someone who takes pride in organisation, enjoys physical tasks, and thrives in a structured environment.
You’ll be an essential link between departments – working closely with production, customer service, purchasing, and warehouse teams – and a vital part of a business that values accuracy, reliability, and initiative.
What You'll Be Doing
- Book in all goods (internal and purchased)
- Perform testing and inspection of incoming stock
- Replenish local stock bins daily
- Issue requisitions from Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production needs
- Create and prepare kits for repair and customer orders
- Manage reclaim stock processing for production, purchasing, and engineering
- Move, allocate, and quarantine stock through internal systems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure stores environment
- Communicate any stock or operational issues to your team leader promptly
- Uphold all quality and health & safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a warehouse, stores, or stock control environment
- Excellent verbal communication and a collaborative team spirit
- Strong organisational skills with a sharp eye for detail
- Physically capable of performing regular lifting and manual handling
- Proficient in using computers and inventory management systems
- Calm under pressure, efficient, and proactive
Entry Requirements
- MS Excel (Intermediate), Outlook, Word, Inventory Management systems
- Must pass: Basic Criminal Record Check, Identity Check, Sanction Check, Credit Check
