Cable-Tec Cables and Controls Ltd are now looking for a :
'Stores Operative and Cable Assembly Engineer', to join our busy team, working from our Sutton in Ashfield depot at NG17 5HN.
- This is a full time role, shadowing our current store person, and learning the role to cover holidays and absence, whilst simultaneously learning the role of 'Cable Manufacturing Operative'.
While this position will be permanent, it is not offered or designed to replace our current stores manager, but to work alongside them and learn the role extensively, while also working in our workshop to learn the skills necessary to manufacture and assemble mechanical cables. Offering us stores cover for holidays and absence, and an additional cable manufacturing operative for all other times when required.
The role will offer varied work, with a view to creating a new hybrid role within our busy manufacturing depot.

We appreciate that it is unlikely that you will have worked within our industry, as it is a very niche area of mechanical engineering, therefore ALL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN, no previous experience is necessary, however a 'mechanical mind' and 'hands on' outlook, and perhaps experience in a previous role within a stores and stock keeping environment would help beneficial, and looked upon favorably.
- We do not work at weekends.
- You will be responsible to our Production Manager.
- Own transport essential.
- Salary is negotiable, depending your experience, but will start at £14.00 P/H .
- Ideally starting as soon as possible, but we can be flexible on start date for the right candidate.
The position will be offered initially on a 3 month trial basis, and if successful, the role will become permanent / subject to our usual terms of employment.
