Based at Ricardo’s Midlands Technical Centre in Leamington Spa, this role could also involve occasional travel to other Ricardo locations in the UK. The successful candidate will be Part of the operational team, reporting to the Stores Team Leader.

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum plus benefits

The Role
Management and operation of stores facilities to support production of low volume, high value transmission products. Based at Ricardo’s Midlands Technical Centre in Leamington Spa, this role could also involve occasional travel to other Ricardo locations in the UK. The successful candidate will be Part of the operational team, reporting to the Stores Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day operation of a stores department. Moving stock both physically and electronically across the site.
- Production and sales administration processes including managing production orders, delivery documentation and sales / invoicing.
- Receipt of deliveries including checking for accuracy of documentation, book in and transfer / locate into local stores.
- Generation, picking and issue of kits of parts for production.
- Management and execution of stock audit processes including formal stock takes.
- Identifying and implementing possible improvements to stores and inventory processes.
Key Competencies and Experience
- High attention to detail
- Good IT skills and comfortable using a computer.
- Experience of a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of Bills of Materials
- Understanding of Lot / Batch control and traceability
Skills and Behaviours
- Working as part of a team to achieve team objectives.
- Good communication skills with ability to talk to customers and sensitivity to commercial factors.
- Clear, logical thinker with the ability to understand and solve problems.
- Fork Lift operating license.
IT skills
- Good computer skills with an ‘enterprise’ MRP system (ideally a LN / Infor system)
- Good level of PC and general computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
