As part of our continued growth, we’re seeking motivated individuals to join the team at our newly refurbished Nechells store.
Role Overview – Based at Croydon Store
We are currently recruiting for a position at our Croydon store, where you will play a vital role in supporting warehouse functions and managing stock movement.
Your main responsibilities will include processing internal orders and inter-branch transfers using our warehouse management system (Korber), performing cycle counts across the warehouse and sales floor, and ensuring accurate stock control and replenishment.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. Flexibility is essential, as shift patterns may vary, and occasional out-of-hours stock counts may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Product Handling
- Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive in-store experience
- Ensure timely shelf replenishment and well-stocked displays
- Rotate stock efficiently to minimise waste and maintain freshness
- Maintain proper product presentation and accurate pricing
- Handle products with care to avoid damage or waste
- Adhere to food safety procedures for chilled and frozen items
- Keep workstations clean, safe, and organised
Stock Management & Control
- Maintain accurate inventory and investigate discrepancies
- Identify and resolve product shortages, damages, or data inconsistencies
- Coordinate with store and warehouse teams to manage stock effectively
- Label and store incoming goods accurately
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc physical inventory (PI) checks
- Respond to internal and external stock queries promptly
- Manage movement of stock to and from off-site storage facilities
Health, Safety & Team Support
- Follow all health and safety procedures and report risks immediately
- Use equipment safely and responsibly
- Assist customers and support colleagues as required
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations
- Support replenishment and operational duties across departments
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by management
Personal Development
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Follow all stock control and inventory management procedures
Skills & Experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Experience with warehouse management systems (Korber knowledge is a plus)
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to operational needs
