Special Collections Driver/Labourer- Grade D
About the role….
Gateshead Council is seeking to appoint a Special Collections Driver/Labourer to join the Waste and Technical team. The role involves the collection of bulky waste which is too big to be put in a household bin such as fridge freezers, beds, and washing machines. The post holder will also be required to ensure that customers both internal and external receive a consistently high level of customer service.

You must have…
- A full UK driving license category C1 plus a CPC qualification
- The ability to demonstrate basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Good physical fitness
- Basic IT Skills
- Experience of working in an operational environment
- Experience of refuse and recycling services
- Experience of being committed and passionate to achieve service delivery
- Experience of working flexibly
