Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Sports Coach/Mentor to inspire and support students across all age groups in their physical development, well-being, and personal growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality physical education sessions, promoting healthy lifestyles, and serving as a positive role model and mentor within the school environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging sports and physical activity sessions in line with the national curriculum and school objectives.
- Lead extracurricular sports clubs, lunchtime activities, and school teams.
- Mentor students to encourage positive behaviour, self-confidence, teamwork, and resilience through sports.
- Identify and support students with varying abilities, adapting sessions to ensure inclusivity and participation for all.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to contribute to students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Promote and encourage participation in inter-school competitions and community sports opportunities.
- Maintain equipment, ensure safety protocols are followed, and uphold safeguarding and child protection standards.
- Support the school in fostering a positive, respectful, and active school culture.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
