Job Title: Sports Club Receptionist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional, friendly, and organised Sports Club Receptionist to join our dynamic team at a multi-sport facility offering tennis, squash, padel, gym, studio classes, hockey, variety of small sports and function room hire. As the face of the club, you’ll play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, handling bookings, managing membership inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area.
Key Responsibilities:
Continual interaction with customers and maintaining a positive welcoming presence whilst on shift, being proactive and efficient.
Verify memberships and manage guest access.
Be willing to take on extra responsibility to meet the needs of the club as you progress within the team
Booking and Scheduling:
Help members with court reservations for tennis and squash using booking software.
Checking members in for their classes and courts.
Assist the management team with any court administration needed.
Customer Service and Communication:
Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person questions about memberships, class times, court availability, and club facilities. General administration duties including – updating of online booking system, updating social media accounts, replying to emails, filing, photocopying etc.
Keep the reception area and entrance clean, organised, and welcoming.
Ensure club policies are communicated and upheld.
Administrative and Payment Processing:
Process new member sign-ups, renewals, and cancellations.
Handle payments for memberships, classes and guests.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in a front desk, hospitality, or gym/sports club setting desirable.
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficiency with booking software, Microsoft Office 365, and POS systems.
- Interest or basic knowledge in tennis, gym fitness, and squash is desirable.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Hours of work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with rotational Saturdays.
