This Band 6 Occupational Therapist post is based within Gartnavel Royal Hospital In Patient Rehabilitation service. The post is full time, 37 hours per week Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm. The post holder must have a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The post holder delivers occupational therapy assessment, effective person centred interventions and evaluation of the effectiveness of occupational therapy treatment. Experience of using outcome measures is desirable. The post holder has responsibility for the supervision of the Band 5 Occupational Therapist within the Rehabilitation service, occupational therapy support staff and students. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with the wider multidisciplinary team, relatives, carers and partner organisations is essential to this post. Working alongside the Lead Occupational Therapist, the post holder will contribute to the development of the occupational therapy service.
The service provides regular supervision and opportunities for continuous professional development. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established occupational therapy service which focuses on evidence based practice and effective multidisciplinary team working.
