The Position
As a member of the Supply Chain Operations organization, the Specialist in Demand Planning/Demand Fulfillment is responsible to ensure reliable supply of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Products to some of NorthWest Europe Markets. The individual will support the integrated Business planning process for their assigned markets to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure planning data is updated and accurate. The Specialist acts as primary planning contact and customer advocates for their franchise teams.Our Supply Chain Operations team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand and partners across the Commercial, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan to ensure we get products to the right customer, at the correct place and requested time.
Responsibilities
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with marketing and finance to review demand forecasts, historical sales trends and understand demand drivers to deliver a consensus demand on a monthly basis.
Monitor supply plans through exception management to exceed customer service levels while maintaining inventory targets and adhering to planning parameters.
Manage resolution and communication of demand/supply imbalances (shortage & discards) through close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, distribution, logistics, marketing and finance.
Maintain demand and supply planning systems with a focus on data accuracy and parameters control.
Support the demand aspects for product launches, new product introduction/deletion, phase-in phase-out due to supply source changes and other related initiatives.
Monitor of targets and drive performance improvement for Forecast Metrics
Analyse inventory and remaining shelf life to identify the potential IQV due to sales drop or marketing strategy change and take actions to minimize IQV loss with marketing and finance
Engage in a continuous improvement mindset with peers and team leaders by identifying and supporting business processes improvement initiatives.
Create, develop and monitor a 36-month forecast plan for the Market.
Collect business intelligence from Market stakeholders in the 36-month timeframe.
Identify gaps between financial plans and demand plans and resolve where needed
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor– preferably Supply Chain Management or related discipline. Master of Science or MBA is a plus.
APICS CPIM or CSCP and / or Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
1 to 3 years of Supply Chain - Demand planning, preferably in pharmaceutical environment.
Solid stakeholder management experience; proven ability to build, develop and maintain productive relationships with different stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills, proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Planning ERP systems awareness (SAP S/4HANA experience preferred).
Be able to cope with high-pressure environment and able to sustain it.
Must be based in Europe.
