We are looking for someone to join Lingotot South Havering on a part time basis. We provide high quality, innovative language sessions for children in Schools. This part-time role kicks off on 2nd September 2025.
We are looking for a part time Spanish tutor. You must be enthusiastic, love working with children and be fluent in the language. Classes are spread across Hornchurch/Havering, Romford and Brentwood and hours can vary so it is essential you are flexible with the hours you can work and have your own transport.
Having teaching experience is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish
- DBS enhanced
- Experience in tutoring or teaching
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of special education practices
- Strong communication skills
These qualifications are essential for the role of a Spanish Tutor, as they will enable the successful candidate to effectively teach and communicate with students, especially those with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide tutoring sessions to students in Spanish language.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to help students improve their language skills.
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Incorporate activities and materials that cater to different learning styles.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on students' progress.
- Adapt teaching methods for students with special education needs.
- Demonstrate patience and understanding when working with children.
- Encourage students to practice and improve their Spanish language skills outside of tutoring sessions.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging attitude to motivate students in their language learning journey.
