Social Media Lead
Location: Bolton (Hybrid/Remote options available)
Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)
Hours: Full-time or Part-time considered, Flexible Core hours arrangements available
We are looking for a creative and confident Social Media Lead who understands how content drives engagement and how engagement supports business growth.
You’ll take responsibility for the planning, creation, and delivery of organic and paid social media campaigns across Thornton & Lowe, our brands, and our clients, as part of our outsourced marketing service.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- At least 2 years’ experience managing social media channels professionally
- Experience writing copy and creating visual content for platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram
- Understanding of social media for B2B audiences, with experience growing accounts and driving engagement
- Confident planning and managing content calendars
- Comfortable using scheduling and project tools such as Metricool, Zoho, Loop, WordPress, & Google Analytics.
- Able to analyse performance data and provide insight that improves results
- Experience supporting brand visibility and lead generation through organic content
- Strong attention to detail and a good grasp of tone, audience and platform differences
- Experience with paid social campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram)
- Knowledge of content strategy, funnel stages and campaign planning
- Familiarity with UTM links, Meta Business Suite, or LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- You’ll need to understand how different platforms work, keep up with trends, and use insight to inform decisions and reporting
- Agency experience or experience managing multiple brands/accounts
- Confident presenting ideas and updates to internal stakeholders or clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
To lead and deliver engaging social media content and campaigns that support visibility, engagement, and lead generation for Thornton & Lowe, our wider brands, and our marketing clients
- Planning and scheduling content across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
- Writing copy and designing or briefing visuals in line with brand guidelines
- Managing a rolling content calendar that supports key campaigns and priorities
- Posting and monitoring content, responding to interactions where needed
- Sharing content via social media and blogging platforms to support reach and engagement
- Advising on post formats, hashtags, tone and timing to improve engagement
- Reviewing analytics, preparing monthly reports, and suggesting improvements
- Collaborating with team members to align content with SEO, design and campaign goals
- Supporting marketing clients with social media setup, management and advice
- You’ll be expected to take the lead on social media but work closely with others to shape campaigns, build consistency, and report on performance
