Support Worker – Health & Social Care
Location: Sunderland, Washington, Houghton-le-Spring, Hetton-le-Hole, Easington & surrounding areas
Hours: Full-time & Part-time positions available (minimum 16 hours per week)
Pay: £26,000–£28,080 pro rata (£12.50–£13.50 per hour, depending on training and experience)

We’re looking for caring, reliable people to join our friendly team at Wearside Care. As a Support Worker, you’ll be helping adults with learning disabilities live independent, happy, and fulfilling lives in their local community.
Every day is different – one day you could be supporting someone at college, helping with shopping, or encouraging life skills at home, and the next you might be going to the gym, the cinema, or enjoying a cuppa and a good chat. You’ll also play a part in supporting clients at WILD Club CIC, our exciting new community project.
What we’re looking for:
- Naturally caring, honest, and responsible individuals
- Reliable team players with good communication skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help others achieve their goals
- Experience in care is a bonus, but not essential – full training and ongoing support will be provided
- Applicants must be 18+
- A full UK driving licence and use of your own car (with business insurance) are essential
- Company vehicles may also be available on occasion
