Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) equipment to assemble electronic components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using hand and power tools. The SMT Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.
Duties
- Operate SMT machinery to assemble electronic components accurately and efficiently.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production workflows and resolve any issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Document production processes and report any discrepancies or defects in components.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating SMT machinery is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand logic controllers and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with surface mount technology processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
