Summary
We are seeking a reliable Driver to join our team at DVC Roofing. As our Site Support/Driver you will be responsible for ensuring that all future and live sites are services, responding to issues arising quickly and effectively. The role is varied and some days you may be supervising the setting up new sites and taking deliveries; on others you may be delivering urgent materials to projects to ensure the work continues.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Set up new sites from overhead drawings or verbal instructions provided.
- Accept and unload deliveries.
- Collection and purchasing of materials for sites.
- Delivering materials to site.
- Liaise with Contracts Managers regularly to review site progress & any potential material requirements.
- Use initiative when out on the road to visit multiple sites if en-route.
- Demobilisation of projects once complete including site clear.
- Quarterly end stock-take to be documented and handed to Operations Manager.
- Keeping the warehouse in a clean & organised manner.
- Use yard stocks when fulfilling deliveries to ensure minimal is kept in the yard.
Requirements
- Valid driving license with experience in commercial driving.
- Proven track record as a delivery driver or van driver.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
- Basic construction/roofing knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 39 – 50 per week
