We are seeking an experienced Fixer to join our shopfitting team, responsible for assembling, installing, and securing shopfitting components to high-quality standards. The role involves working on-site to fit fixtures, furniture, and equipment, ensuring precise alignment, a flawless finish, and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Assembly: Fit and secure shopfitting elements including counters, shelving, cabinets, displays, signage, and bespoke joinery.
- Reading Plans: Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
- Precision Work: Ensure all fixtures are correctly aligned, level, and securely fixed.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, drill, and prepare materials for installation.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve installation challenges on-site.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety protocols, ensuring tools and equipment are used correctly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with joiners, site managers, electricians, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Finishing: Carry out fine finishing, adjustments, and touch-ups to meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fixer or in shopfitting/joinery roles.
- Strong technical and practical skills with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability on-site.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations.
