Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our team.
We are a small and busy traditional pub with a lot of regular clientele and holiday visitors. We are looking for somebody to be polite and friendly as the first impression of our venue.
We do not attract a problem clientele and are not required to have a door supervisor as part of our license however any town centre venue can experience issues and we like our staff and customers to feel safe and protected.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety and security at the entrance of our establishment, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests while enforcing rules and regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage various situations calmly and effectively.
The role is for Saturdays 3pm - 11pm, and we can consider an employed or self employed basis. We appreciate you may need some Saturdays off and so we can offer cover when required by mutual agreement and would condor an alternate weekend option if you prefer not to commit to every weekend.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the entrance and exit points to ensure the safety of patrons and staff.
- Enforce venue policies, including age restrictions and dress codes, while providing excellent customer service.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, utilising first aid skills when necessary.
- Collaborate with staff to prevent loss and theft within the establishment.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken during shifts.
- Assist in crowd management during busy periods to ensure a smooth flow of guests.
Skills
- Proficient in surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and staff professionally.
- Experience in loss prevention strategies is advantageous.
- Ability to handle conflict situations with tact and diplomacy while maintaining composure under pressure.
