Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction techniques and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role requires a blend of carpentry, masonry, and mechanical knowledge to execute high-quality joinery work on diverse projects, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
- Perform welding tasks as required for specific projects.
- Execute roofing tasks including installation and repair of roofs.
- Carry out masonry work as needed to support joinery projects.
- Engage in heavy lifting when moving materials or constructing larger structures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
Experience
- Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials to job sites.
- Previous experience in carpentry, roofing, welding, or masonry will be highly regarded.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
