Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Shuttering Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be proficient in using hand and power tools. This role involves working on various projects, while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood.
- Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and saws to shape materials.
- Operate power tools including drills, sanders, and nail guns for various tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety.
- Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced carpenters when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to tools and equipment.
- Strong physical stamina with the capability for heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
