Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a <PERSON>. This role requires a strong background in various trades, including welding, carpentry, and masonry, along with the ability to operate hand and power tools effectively. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and be comfortable with heavy lifting. A commercial driving licence is advantageous for this position.
Duties
- Perform welding tasks on various materials to ensure structural integrity and safety.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for construction and repair projects.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment as needed.
- Engage in carpentry work, including framing, installation of fixtures, and finishing touches.
- Execute roofing tasks safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct masonry work such as bricklaying or stonework for construction projects.
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, or related trades is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the workday.
- A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
