Shop Assistant / Fitter – Formal Wear-Menswear
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Shop Assistant/Fitter to join our fashion and formal wear store. You will play a key role in creating a positive shopping and fitting experience for our customers. Self employment. £13 per hour. Full time.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will assist customers with outfit selection, take accurate measurements, and ensure garments are prepared to the highest standard. Excellent communication skills are essential, with preference given to bilingual or multilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English.
Responsibilities
•Welcome and assist customers in finding the perfect outfit
- Take accurate measurements and enter them into our system
- Recommend styles and coordinate matching pieces
- Prepare garments for customer collection
- Organise and sort stock in the store and storage areas
- Maintain a clean and organised shop floor
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Communicate with customers by phone when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
Friendly, polite, and well-presented
- Reliable, punctual, and honest
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Retail or customer service experience preferred, but not essential
- Must follow store policies (mobile phone use is not permitted during working hours)
