Shop Assistant
An interesting role in a busy Food Factory with a Shop on site and Website. This role would suit someone who is able to work in a busy environment, who enjoys a diverse role, is customer focused and has a good telephone manner.
The candidate needs to be hardworking, honest, punctual, be able to multi task and most importantly a team player. IT literate although we will provide training. You will be on the shop floor and hot desking.
Experience in a food retail environment and /or merchandising will be an advantage. The site is a meat processing plant with butchery and you will need to be able to be around meat products.
You will be working with our existing Shop Assistant, Butchery Team, Management, Suppliers and Public a bubbly personality that is both flexible and a team player is a must.
The Day to Day Role includes:
Serving customers at the till and from our deli
Stocking shop / rotating stock
Helping to keep the shop clean and tidy
Answering of the Shop phone and Website phone as required
Ordering products as required
Ensuring pricing is visible and accurate on shelves
Printing of On Line Orders
Packing of On Line Orders
Inputting & Printing of Courier Labels
Research as required gathering information internally or via internet
On the job training will be given to the successful candidate.

Working hours and Salary
Salary will be discussed with the candidate at the interview dependent upon experience.
Holiday is 28 days per year (8 days are the bank holidays)
No more than 2 weeks holiday at one time, no holiday on short weeks, no holiday before Christmas.
Normal Hours of Work Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. 1 hour unpaid break split -15 mins at 10am, 30mins at 12pm and 15mins at 3pm
Saturdays up to 2 per month 8:30am – 4:30pm with 30 mins break split - 9:45am 15 min break, other 15min breaks split as and when required/ shop is quiet.
