We’re looking for an exceptional Waiter/Waitress to join our front-of-house team at etch. by Steven Edwards, an award-winning modern British restaurant in the heart of Brighton.
This is a key guest-facing role for someone with passion, precision, and personality, delivering service to the highest standard in a Michelin-guide level environment.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver an impeccable guest experience from start to finish.
- Manage your own section of the dining room with confidence and attention to detail.
- Present and explain dishes with passion, reflecting our focus on Sussex and British produce.
- Pair dishes with wine and beverage suggestions, upselling where appropriate.
- Maintain service flow, liaising closely with the kitchen and wine team.
- Ensure your section is always immaculate in presentation and readiness.
- Anticipate guest needs and personalise their experience wherever possible.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a similar role within a fine dining or premium restaurant.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest care.
- Strong knowledge of food and wine (or a willingness to learn quickly).
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional manner.
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- A proactive, team-focused attitude.
