Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, utilising basic math skills for transactions.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of hospitality practices.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary techniques is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods.
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to create a positive dining atmosphere.
- Experience in serving or kitchen roles is beneficial, showcasing an understanding of food preparation processes.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
