We are seeking a compassionate and committed Senior Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 care to a gentleman living with Huntington’s disease. As his condition progresses, his care needs will increase and become more clinical, so we’re looking for someone who is confident, adaptable, and proactive.
You’ll support all aspects of daily living, including full personal care and safe manual handling, while helping to maintain his independence and mobility for as long as possible. Routine and consistency are vital, as is access to the community and social connection. He lives in a purpose-built unit attached to his family home, where his dog plays a key role in his emotional wellbeing.
Experience with Huntington’s disease is desirable, but not essential - specialist training will be provided.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is also desirable, to support community access and appointments.
