Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a Senior Sports Centre Team Member at Clevedon School, you will play a key role in delivering Futura’s mission of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for someone who is passionate about our values and making a positive impact on our community.
As Senior Sports Centre Team Member, you will:
- Be a role model for all centre staff, leading by example in operational excellence.
- Ensure clean, safe and functional gym, sports hall/pitches, studio areas and equipment at all times.
- Make great connections with all hirers and members, supporting a positive customer experience.
- Act as the main point of contact for operational matters within the Sports Centre.
- Manage and oversee bookings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in scheduling and resource allocation.
- Lead and supervise the team, providing guidance, support and motivation.
- Handle enquiries and complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks and maintaining documentation.
- Play a key role in sales and retention of members, identifying and meeting their needs.
- Support training, CPD and team development while championing high standards.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a motivated and professional Senior Sports Centre Team Member who:
Qualifications:
- Good level of GCSE/O Level in English and Maths (essential)
- Sports/Fitness industry qualifications or working towards them (desirable)
- Group Exercise Qualifications (desirable)
Experience:
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment, delivering exceptional standards (essential)
- Experience of Sports/Fitness coaching (desirable)
- Experience in membership sales and retention (desirable)
- Cash handling experience (desirable)
Skills & Behaviours:
- Strong customer engagement and communication skills
- IT skills using Microsoft Outlook/Office and membership/booking databases
- Ability to be flexible with shift patterns including mornings, evenings and weekends
- A motivational, positive and proactive attitude
