The Senior Sister will act as a credible and professional role model, encourage and empower other staff to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum potential. The Senior Sister will work with the Matron and Directorate Manager to ensure the Service Level Agreements for the delivery of Outpatients are met. The Senior Sister will be responsible in the HR management of the nursing team taking lead responsibility for sickness absence reporting and management, performance management working within Trust policy and procedure, education and development of the nursing team. The above list is not exhaustive and the post will evolve with the demands of a busy department.
