Title: Senior Server/Waiter

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Senior Waiter/Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping your teamdeliver exceptional service, manage the less experienced severs on the floor while managing a designated section of the restaurant yourself. We are looking for someone to proactively driving sales through upselling and guest engagement. Your ability to anticipate guests' needs, recommend dishes and beverages, and promote the venue’s offerings will be key in enhancing both the guest experience and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the managing of a small serving team to provide exceptional service.
- Provide exceptional table service, ensuring guests receive a seamless dining experience.
- Actively upsell food, wine, and specialty drinks by making tailored recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Drive sales and revenue by promoting high-margin menu items, set menus, and special events.
- Develop strong product knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and wine pairings to confidently advise guests.
- Promote the venue by engaging with guests, informing them about upcoming events, private dining options, and loyalty programs.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure efficient and accurate order delivery.
- Assist with tableside service, including flambé, carving, and wine presentation when required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail within your section.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior staff, ensuring service consistency across all sections.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Waiter/Server or in a similar high-end hospitality role.
- Good at working under the pressures of a busy service.
- Strong sales and upselling skills, with a keen ability to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
- A passion for hospitality, with a confident and friendly approach.
- Knowledge of food, wine, and service etiquette, with a desire to continuously learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
