C4 is owned by the public and fully funded by advertising, so maximising revenue which can be invested back on screen is paramount. Each year the 4Sales team generate over £1billion of advertising revenue, across spot, VoD, sponsorship and partnerships that is then used to produce the high quality, innovative and entertaining programming that our viewers love so much. A major part of our commercial strategy focuses on being the most progressive commercial partners with our advertisers and agencies.

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Head of Sales Strategy, the Senior Sales Enablement Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a dynamic sales enablement programme that supports every level of the Channel 4 Commercial organisation.

Working in close alignment with the Head of Sales Strategy and Channel 4’s wider Learning and Development team, the Senior Sales Enablement Lead will be responsible for equipping the Commercial team with the skills, knowledge, tools and confidence to reach their full potential.

The role will have a broad range of responsibilities, from ensuring an excellent onboarding process for new joiners across a range of disciplines, to developing initiatives that elevate the performance of experienced colleagues.

Collaborating with Sales leadership, the Senior Sales Enablement Lead will design and deliver programmes that ensure the Commercial organisation is aligned, empowered and consistently performing at its best.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design & Deliver Sales Enablement Programmes: Build and lead high-impact training programmes tailored to the unique needs of Channel 4’s Commercial team across multiple functions and level.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Own and continually enhance the onboarding journey for new colleagues ensuring they feel supported, inspired and ready to hit the ground running.
  • Collaborative Content Development: Work closely with stakeholders across Sales leadership to ensure training content is developed and aligned with business priorities. Provide training and enablement support for all go-to-market initiatives ensuring Commercial teams are confident and well prepared.
  • Ongoing Learning & Development: Work with Channel 4’s L&D team to create structured learning pathways and upskilling initiatives that support continual growth – including advanced sales skills, negotiation, storytelling and client engagement.
  • Champion a Culture of Feedback: Foster a growth orientated culture by embedding regular feedback loops into training and team practice. Lead initiatives that empower managers and peers to give and receive constructive feedback confidently and coach individuals on how to translate feedback into performance improvements
  • Partner Collaboration: Work with external training providers, industry bodies and technology partners to bring in best practice and fresh thinking.
  • Ensure Consistency & Quality Across Training Delivery: Maintain high standards of facilitation and delivery across all training sessions, whether in person, virtual or hybrid formats.
  • Champion Diversity & Inclusion in Training: Ensure all programmes reflect Channel 4’s values, recognising different learning styles and experiences.
  • Measurement & ROI: Use data and feedback to assess training effectiveness and continuously refine learning interventions to maximise impact.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Significant experience in sales training, sales enablement or L&D, ideally within media, advertising or another fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Deep understanding of the sales landscape, including client direct engagements, agency relationships, partnerships and evolving digital platforms.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, effective training – both in person and virtually.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with experience influencing at all levels of an organisation.
  • Familiarity with learning platforms, enablement tools and CRM systems.
  • Data literate with an analytical approach to evaluating impact and driving continuous improvement.
  • Passion for Channel 4's mission and values.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Experience working in, or alongside, media sales teams.
  • Experience in e-learning content creation.


Basic salary per annum starting from

£64,969.00

    From September 2023, C4 has operated a 60/40 working pattern, equating to three office days per week.
