SENIOR RECOVERY WORKER - MENTAL HEALTH

Norfolk Integrated Housing & Community Support Services (NIHCSS)
Norwich, England
Full time

Company Overview

Norfolk Integrated Housing & Community Support Services (NIHCSS) is a collaborative initiative between Together for Mental Wellbeing and St Martins Housing, dedicated to supporting adults with severe mental health needs.

Summary

Our senior recovery workers provide highly individualised and intensive support to individuals with the most complex mental health needs in the Norwich locality area. The team supports clients who do not engage with statutory services - they may have multiple challenges including psychosis, substance misuse and dual diagnosis.

As a senior recovery worker within NIHCSS, you will focus on providing face to face, non-medical support, tailoring your involvement to the individual's specific needs and goals through a person centred, recovery based approach.

Your role will involve supporting individuals to engage with the NIHCSS Intensive Service and overcome barriers to accessing support.

We know that working with people with serious mental health problems can be as rewarding as it is demanding. You will be dealing with unpredictable situations, challenging behaviours, and complex needs which can be taxing. So your attitude and aptitude are what is important to us!
