Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering their development. You will lead a team of nursery staff, guiding them in delivering engaging activities that promote learning through play. Your expertise in early childhood education will be essential in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursery team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate learning programmes that cater to the individual needs of children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support to enhance their development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures regarding health and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
- Support staff in their professional development through mentoring and training opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Adopt the Curiosity Approach Pedagogy.
Skills
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide a team effectively.
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
- Ability to create engaging learning experiences that promote child development.
- Driving licence is preferred for transportation purposes related to nursery activities.
