- Training and Mentorship: A key component of the role will be to provide training to trainee consultants, medical, and nursing endoscopists, ensuring their training is both comprehensive and safe.
- Caseload Management: You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, ensuring timely follow-up investigations or referrals in line with diagnosis and histology results.
- Service Improvement: By assuming this role, you will play a crucial part in reducing the time required for medical and consultant colleagues to perform diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy, allowing them to focus on more specialist interventions.
