Senior Mental Health Support Worker (Days)

Location: Heathy House, Halifax, West Yorkshire
Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Salary: £27,727.70 per annum / £13.85 per hour + £15.35 overtime

Active Pathways is excited to announce an opportunity for a compassionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our 10-bed rehabilitation service, Heathy House, in Halifax. This residential service focuses on providing a step-down facility, helping individuals transition towards independent living.

About the Role:

As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to live as independently as possible while achieving their personal goals. Your working hours will be from 7:45am to 7:45pm on a rotating two-week rota:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence.
  • Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices.
  • Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management.
  • Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of service users is at the forefront of care.
  • Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals.
  • Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
