Summary
The scope of the role covers supporting Financial Management, Budgetary Control, Financial Reporting, and to provide supporting information to assist with performance management.
The Senior Finance Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the ICB’s supplier/provider invoices are validated, recorded and paid on time with due credits recovered on behalf of the ICB. This role will be required to contact and liaise with ICB’s suppliers/providers, resolve queries mainly relating to the purchase ledger payments made by the ICB locally. Therefore, understanding of and ability to interrogate accounting software and being able to communicate confidently with external providers orally and in writing is key to the success of this role.
Responsibilities
- validating invoices and ensuring credits due to the ICB is received
- maintaining records, spreadsheets and databases with financial information
- Identifying and resolving financial queries with suppliers/providers of services and supporting the periodic reporting as required.
- Supporting the Senior Finance Manager in analysis of above data for management reports and maintaining accurate financial ledgers.
- supporting the delivery of a high quality and responsive service to customers
- Collating and preparing accurate payment schedules with a high level of accuracy including coding structures.
