With a primary focus on staff obsession, the Senior Wardrobe Host plays a crucial role in making this the best place to work in the world. The Senior Wardrobe Host is an experienced employee that, under direction of the Wardrobe Manager, performs a variety of duties related to wardrobe operations. This role supports creative costuming and wardrobe operations, providing support for Entertainment Core offerings and collaborating with third party vendors for special events. This role maintains the wardrobe space in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion, acting as a constant source of knowledge in their assigned zone.


Role Modeling:

  • You will play a role in ensuring smooth, efficient operation while delivering excellent service across the resort as a trusted frontline team member.
  • Coordinate with Wardrobe Manager to communicate scheduling of Wardrobe Model Citizens.
  • Responsible for notating and reporting the occurrences of the workday to their leadership. Remains in communication with leadership to address issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Serve as a role model by maintaining professionalism and delivering high-quality service, escalating employee concerns as necessary.
  • Collaborate with creative, production, and other key stakeholders to ensure success of events.

Wardrobe Operation:

  • Complete wardrobe team tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Assist in the costume production timeline, supporting costuming development, the production process, and tracking project timelines to ensure park and departmental goals and objectives are obtained to ensure a successful show or event opening for our guests.
  • Support cosmetology needs for new and existing park entertainment offerings, including make-up design, make-up product selection and ordering, wig styling and maintenance, make-up trainings with performers, and upholding approved cosmetology looks through daily operations.
  • Work with seamstress team members on product completion, implementing skills such as sewing on industrial sewing machines, hand sewing, pattern drafting and making, garment cutting, painting, foam sculpting, using industrial glues, garment fitting, and costume design elements.
  • Create and monitor inventory of uniforms as well as monitor uniform ordering requests based on inventory.
  • Support management with ensuring opening and closing duties are completed according to procedure.
  • Liaison leadership team to resolve wardrobe inventory and quality issues.
  • Assigned wardrobe-specific tasks that may require specialty skills and abilities regarding costumes and character creation, alteration, and maintenance.
  • Assists with special events as assigned, including but not limited to character offsite requests, Resort awards recognition programs, partnership events, and Core internal park events.

Health & Safety:

  • Maintain health and safety protocols, handling incidents or accidents, and suggesting safety improvements.
  • Work effectively in busy environments with high noise levels. Work effectively under pressure in situations such as ride breakdowns or upset guests. Maintain a high level of focus to ensure safe operation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Two years of professional costume shop work experience required.
  • One year professional experience in a leadership position within a costume shop environment preferred.
  • At least one year experience in a customer-service/hospitality role preferred. Theme park experience in a child-oriented setting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Costume Design, Costume and Crafts Fabrication, Costume and Crafts Materials, computer programs, and Sewing and Patterning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with proven leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in all areas of costume development, construction, fabrication, refurbishment, and cleaning.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support park operations.
