Children's Hospices Across Scotland
£39,270 - £45,390 a year
Perth and Kinross, Scotland
Full time

The Role

At CHAS, we are on a mission to provide unwavering care to children who may die young and their families. As our Senior Community Fundraiser, you will be instrumental in achieving this vision. One of two senior posts in the Community Fundraising team, this role supports a team of Community Fundraisers across Scotland to achieve ambitious income targets to sustain life-changing work and support our ‘It’s Not a Hospice’ appeal.

Purpose

This role is central to driving income generation and strategic development across Scotland. You will lead on community campaigns and projects, manage key partnerships and donors, and support the implementation of fundraising strategy and budget planning.

You’ll also play a vital role in coaching and supporting peers, managing volunteers, and ensuring effective use of resources.

Where does the role sit?

Reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll represent Community Fundraising both internally and externally and deputise for the Community Fundraising Manager when required.

About You

You are an excellent relationship builder with highly developed communication skills and significant experience in community fundraising. You understand the processes involved in delivering and following up on successful fundraising activity and are confident making decisions within agreed delegation levels.

You bring:

  • Well established track record of growth, stewardship, and supporter engagement
  • Proven experience managing volunteers in a community fundraising environment and high-level knowledge of the voluntary sector in Scotland
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities
  • Strategic thinking and budget planning skills
  • Drive, self-motivation, and a passion for making a difference

Please note that a driving licence and access to a car will be essential for this role. There will be a regular requirement to transport yourself and materials as well as cash between CHAS sites, community sites and events.

About CHAS

At CHAS, we support families during the toughest of times. We have ambitions to reach every family in Scotland who is living with the heart-breaking prognosis that their child is dying and offer them our care and support to empower them to make the most of the short time they have together. The skill, passion, agility and creative flair of our Fundraising Teams makes this possible.

We offer

  • Flexible Working: our teams work flexibly and in a hybrid manner with time split between at home and on site. CHAS offers flexible and family friendly working and are happy to discuss working arrangements that work for you!
  • Development Opportunities: training opportunities and the chance to work with an award-winning fundraising team.
  • Professional Growth: Work with industry leaders in a high-performing team where you will be encouraged and supported to excel and develop your skills.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Including generous annual leave and pension, incremental salary progression, access to Blue Light discounts, and health and wellbeing support.
