Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and a passion for food preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. As a Senior CDP, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our kitchen, contributing to menu development and leading junior staff in their culinary tasks.
Duties
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and culinary excellence.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and cooking methods.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Monitor and ordering stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain inventory.
- Participate in training sessions for new staff on food safety practices and kitchen procedures.
- Leading the kitchen in the absence of head chef / Kitchen Manager
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations.
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop junior team members.
- A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
