Assist with more specialised lung function procedures
Maintain, calibrate and quality control equipment required to perform basic lung function procedures to ensure accuracy
Maintain accurate patient information systems
Undertake administration duties e.g. posting results, answering telephone queries and other general reception duties
Assist with training of less experienced staff
Perform lung function tests accurately in accordance with SOP’s, on patients of all ages in a variety of locations including:
Spirometry
Response to inhaled bronchodilators
Basic respiratory muscle weakness testing
Pulse oximetry at rest
Overnight pulse oximetry (this includes setting up equipment, downloading results and preparing reports for review by qualified respiratory physiologists)
Nitric oxide testing
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
