Hours: 35 hours per week term time plus 2 weeks.

Salary: £26125 - £28760

Closing date: 23/6/25 10am

1st stage interview 27/6/25 (virtual/online interview)

2nd stage interview 04/7/25 (this will be in person at the setting)

We are looking for a SEND specialist Family Support Worker to join our team and to make a difference in children's lives every single day. As the SEND Family Support Worker, you will work in close partnership at The Courtyard Islington to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families we support. You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.

You will have excellent relationship building and communications skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of individuals. You will be based in The Courtyard with some client home based work supporting families with housing, form filling and work with other external agencies.

You’ll have previous experience of:

  • Supporting people through the EHCP process

  • Working with SEND children and families

  • Working and engaging with SEND parents, carers or guardians, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support

  • Working in an educational or outreach environment

  • Working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn

  • Working with families from diverse communities
