Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various welding techniques and have experience in fabrication and assembly. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with both hand and power tools effectively.
Duties
- Perform MIG and Stick welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
- Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, particularly in MIG and Stick welding techniques.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work and fabrication processes is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Previous experience in assembly work is an advantage.
