Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled self employed Tig Welder/ Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to fabricate and assemble components with precision. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all welding tasks.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding on 316 stainless ensuring strong and clean welds.
- Assemble and fabricate components according to engineering specifications and drawings.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively to complete welding and fabrication tasks.
- Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any welding-related issues.
- Use basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding; additional experience in stick welding is advantageous.
- Proficiency in working with sheet metal and understanding mechanical principles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and hand tools.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
