Purpose of the Role
The purpose of the security team leader role is to take responsibility for setting the standard and lead your team to deliver an exceptional customer service. The role will involve developing and delivering our service model in line with our strategic organisational objectives to become an "employer of choice".
You will be a high energy leader, presentable and a natural communicator with the ability to adapt to a fast paced changing environment.
You will proactively champion brand initiatives through clear communication, coaching and engagement with the delivery teams. You will be able to build strong working relationships with external agencies and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment.
- To undertake hourly patrols/inspections of the full Leisure Park, Car parks and Service yard areas.
- To utilise the Timegate service module for all site patrols as instructed by the Area Security Manager.
- To carry out any other duties in accordance with instructions issued by the Area Security Manager or RFM.
- To act as first point of contact to the tenants, frequently liaising with the tenants throughout each shift, whilst providing a proactive presence on the park.
- To comply fully with the Health & Safety Policy for the Leisure Park.
- To ensure all relevant company & legislative information is kept up to date, filed correctly and available for employees. Including but not limited to: Security Assignment Instructions, CCTV documents, risk assessments, contractor PPM certificates, COSHH documentation (if applicable).
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, protocols and operating
procedures, and adherence to SIA guidance.
- Complete rotas, manage holidays and absence through the Timegate system and assist with payroll.
- Ensure all relevant training is up to date
- To ensure that the Rules & Regulations of the Leisure Park, Car parks and Service yards are complied with at all times.
- Ensure that all incidents are recorded in the Daily Occurrence Log and on DataStation and all serious incidents are reported to the National Operations Centre.
- Ensure that contractors arriving and working on site adhere fully, to company and site H&S procedures and policies to ensure the safety of public and staff on the park.
- Ensure that the Shopping Park and Car parks are a safe and pleasant environment.
- To assist with enquiries from the public and the tenants as required.
- To take a proactive approach to the day to day goings on of the park, including contractor management, defect reporting and checks of all areas of the park, maintaining regular reporting to the RFM.
- To be aware of and abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company
- Proactive management to ensure site looks pristine
- Arranging regular meetings with the local PCSOs and Police and other local Stakeholders, including the local Schools to ensure the park is deemed a destination of choice for all customers
- Maintain up to date training records for all site employees.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

- Good interpersonal skills and happy working in a customer service role.
- Excellent communicator at all levels, fluent in English and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Able to work on own initiative, be flexible and reliable and keen to gain skills.
- Maintain a smart appearance at all times in line with the Company dress code.
- You need to be able to follow instructions and be confident in briefing in key messages to your direct reports.
Qualifications and experience:
Essential:
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity
- 5-year checkable employment record
- Valid and Active SIA Licence – Security Guarding or Door Supervisor
- First Aid Qualified
- Supervisory/management experience
