Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises, including checking doors, windows, and other entry points for security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Provide first aid assistance when required and ensure that all safety measures are in place.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary and prepare detailed reports of incidents or breaches.
- Assist in the training of new security personnel on protocols and procedures.
- Maintain clear communication with management and other staff regarding security matters.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid is desirable; candidates should be willing to obtain certification if not already held.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
