Overview
We seek a skilled and detail-oriented female Tailors/Seamstresses to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess expert skills in garment fitting, pinning, repair, and alteration, as well as a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. As a seamstress, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and clothing alterations to our clients, ensuring that each piece fits perfectly and meets their individual style preferences. We work alongside high street fashion brands, and we breath excellent quality in everything we do. The candidate must be fluent in English to ensure our client's requirements are understood best.
Responsibilities
- Perform garment alterations, including shortening, lengthening, hemming, taking-in or letting out seams, and adjusting the fit as required.
- Interact with clients to perform pinning/fitting, take measurements, handle payment and book telephone appointments.
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on styles, fabrics, and alterations.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are in good condition and a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of client measurements and preferences.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Willing to do overtime in the busy season.
Experience
- Proven a minimum of 5 years of experience as a seamstress or in a similar role is essential.
- Proficiency in machine and hand sewing techniques, fabric types, and garment alterations and repair methods is required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good body language and tone communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Familiarity with using sewing machines and other tailoring tools is necessary.
- A creative mindset with an eye for fashion trends is advantageous.

Pay: £120.00-£140.00 per day
