Role: Scrap Yard Operative with Weighbridge Experience
Location: Erith
Hours: 42.75 per week, Monday to Friday

The Role: We are looking to recruit a Scrap Metal Operative with Weighbridge experience to join our established team based at our site in Erith.
What you will be doing:
- Deal with customers and members of the public following company guidelines and customer service guidelines
- Cover on weighbridge when required
- Buy and grade non ferrous metals
- Undertaking the depollution of End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) – removing and storing parts safely (full training provided)
- Working closely with others, ensuring good communication and following instructions
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed
- Maintaining all plant and equipment as well as reporting any faults or defects immediately
- Liaising with other teams
- Operating plant and equipment
- Removing of catalytic convertors from vehicles
- To adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
- To keep the area you are working in clean and tidy
- Any other duties as required
- General housekeeping duties
- FLT duties when required
Who you are:
- Experience on weighbridge
- Scrap metal experience
- Experience with administration
- Enjoy working in a busy team and able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
- Valid FLT License, advantage but not essential
- Enjoy working outdoors
- WAMITAB (desirable but not essential)
